Bio

Giannakis grew up in the Nikaia neighborhood of Athens and discovered his talent in basketball thanks to people who built the infrastructure and gave him the chance to get to know the sport. As a result, he was able to chase his dreams.

Today, through Field of Life, he hopes to give kids in Nikaia the opportunity to discover what inspires them to thrive.

More Information

Panagiotis Giannakis belongs to the close team of the people that changed basketball in Greece. He led Greek basketball to the top for the first time and guaranteed its further development. Almost every Greek school has hoops in its backyard and that is because of this achievement. In 2005, he led once more Greek basketball to the top, this time as a head coach and he inspired the new generation.

Every day you shall surpass yourself and become better than yesterday.

Panagiotis Giannakis won dozens of awards and accomplishments, he was introduced in FIBA Hall of Fame, but he never forgot his roots and how he discovered his talent. His vision is to help kids to find their own way and shape their character!
